the monster is gone

reading her blog makes clear that gf's approach to the couch differs a little from mine.
I didn't hate it, as one might think, but I didn't exactly love it either. I always felt it was too big for the room and since it was a little bit older it also wasn't entirely latest fashion either. I didn't have anything against the stains or slight discoloring in some places. that's just what happens with time. actually, the couch was in a pretty good shape.
nonetheless it was a big, lurking navy and cream colored monster of a couch that was uncomfortable to sit on, sleep on or hang out on. It couldn't be cleaned properly because either one would have to use all the chemical compounds in a chemical kit (one of which I always wanted to have, but never got for christmas) and then ruin your skin sitting on it or just make do with a vacuum cleaner and hope the dust at least comes off. In our case,...well our vacuum cleaner is a little weak. I hate stuff that will not be cleaned properly. Not that I do it so often, but when I do, I wanna do it good.
we kept the little brother though, a little cube-shaped sit-on thing that served as deposition posibility for all sorts of stuff like bags and cushions and the like.
So this is my good bye to the monster I've grown to not enirely hate.
