10 days to go

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I quit my job.
I'll finish with university some time in the summer - depending on when I wanna take on Austrian beaurocracy and so I thought it was time to get myself a "real" job.
I work 3 days a week now, which was ok as long as I was still studying but now it just doesn't work out for me anymore. Also, I'd like to force some change into my career path.
Anyway...
While I waited for the tram today I started calculating how often I will have to go to work before I'm done and I found out that I still have 10 days including today.
How awesome is that!
I can't wait to walk out of this building for the last time...

the piles are back

I'm at work right now and the piles of paperwork are back. Actually, they are new piles but none the nicer...

also gf and I will be going on HOLIDAY!! more news on that later this week or maybe on gf's blog.

So, after telling you all that, here's what I originally wanted to post. I'll not be blogging for the rest of the week because I have a paper due on Friday and kind of done near to nothing to finish it.
This means I'll be on hiatus until probably Saturday or so...then I'll be back with hopefully good news.

a good day

when I first came to work this morning, my monstrous piles of paper were gone. No, I don't know either, they just disappeared. Cheerio! So, I've done some net surfing and catching up with the world until it started to snow again. it still does and the view from my office (ground floor, grr) is very white. But I'm confident that it'll go away within a couple of hours. and even if it stays...it's a good day.

gf mailed me one of my unfinished papers for university to work on, while I had nothing to do at work. boss is not here either and doesn't call every five minutes for a change, so I had time to work on that paper and...wait for it...finish it!! It's now printed and in an envelope and sealed and I'll go to the post-office today and snail mail it to my professor. I feel as good as I thought I would when finished with the paper.

I still have one more to do with a lot more pages and a lot more reading and a lot more quality...but let's deal with that tomorrow or saturday...

I wish the feeling wouldn't go away...

shattered...

is what me and my glasses are. and headaches is what I'm gonna have the next few days, because my very old glasses are much to weak. Thank god it's friday and no one works on sunday and it takes a day longer for new glasses for me to have. (Did I mention there is a national holiday on wednesday?)

A good year ago they broke because they fell on the boardwalk. I got new glasses but they were never the same.
I always knew that their days were numbered. What I didn't know was, how low the number of days actually was.

Today, I went to wash my face and I put the glasses aside and innocently folded them. This was obviously enough to break off the earpiece. Now I really gotta get myself new ones. I really liked the ones I have but there's a time for everything and the time for my glasses is over.
