rainbow eyes

it's the most beautiful thing
with the music on
in the tub
all hot and sweaty
all calm
and tears are running down my face

but sometimes everything goes just
down the drain
with the music on
and the air all moist and steamy
all hot and sweaty
the vessel bursts

her eyes layered with colors
like thick dark oil on water
that flickers in the light
and shimmers in all
colors of the rainbow
and then goes up in flames but never just fades away
