tummy ache

while I told gf to go shut her eyes for a while I'm keeping watch over Sammy who needs to be fed every two 1/2 hours because he doesn't do it himself. He doesn't because there's something not quite alright with his bowels and being a bunny this can be lethal because he needs to eat to keep his digestion going at all times.
We went to see a doctor tonight and came home around midnight and are now waiting that his state will be better.
we fed him once by now and I can't even begin to tell you what a mess it was. I had his food in my hair and in my ear and all over my clothes and everywhere else. But he ate all he got bravely, which give me hope because it shows that he is hungry but wants to eat. Good sign.
Now, he's curious again when someone comes to check on him and he seemed interested in the hay that we left him in his temp cage with. If he started eating by himself it would be the best thing that could happen. We're going to see the doctor again tomorrow morning to do another x-ray to see if the situation has improved...let's keep our fingers crossed.

Hiatus intermission #1

I just wandered about in what must be the most remote part of this town (if you're without a car, like me). It's beautiful though, green and a lot of good wine growing (sadly it wasn't grape stealing season).

Why i even went there? Well, i hunted a snake board a while ago and now i went to pick it up from the previous owner.

I used to own one in my mid-teen years and was doing ok but because there is no place to skate in the whole of austria i gave my board away. With the reemergence of skateboards i kind of started to miss my old board.

I promise to keep you up to date on all the fun and pain ahead!
Too bad i still have to finish the last term paper ever (which i hate because the topic is boring me to death.

olympic revolution

McC had this little questionnaire on her blog today. When I tried to answer the second question for myself I found I couldn't decide which olympic winter sport I wanted to choose.

then a couple of minutes later I opened our fridge and it hit me - no not the cold. there was red bull in the fridge and I thought that this is what I wanted to do.
of course it's not officially olympic or anything, but who says that the olympics can't be revolutionised?

strange memories in unusual places

it's been eating me alive that we were watching "women's murder club" last week and for the whole of its 40 minutes or so I had to look at this white haired person who looked so familiar and I couln't find it in my head, where I knew this actor from. It was quite clear to me that I wouldn't know his name but I definitely knew that face.

This is nothing unusual. These things happen frequently and usually it takes me 10 minutes to wait for a signature word or gesture that triggers the memory and I know where that face was on last time I saw it. It's usually a moment of relief and happiness.

This time I had to use imdb to find my mystery person...well, he wasn't on the imdb cast list somehow. So I tried to soothe my mind by not thinking about it...doesn't work.
So even though I'm surrounded by piles of paperwork I went and did some search online and wham! found a name to the character and what happened then was only partly a moment of relief and certainly no moment of happiness much rather embarrassement.

The elderly white haired person on the TV show was Orson Bean. He played Loren Bray on...wait for it...Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman....

me vs. uterus

I don't understand it. yesterday I curled up on our living room couch thinking I might acutally go mad because of the pain in my body. I didn't know where it came from it must've been more than just regular cramps cuz I could feel pain from head to toe, literally.
I couldn't sleep for a long time and the painkillers took forever to take effect.
This morning I woke up with a little back ache as if nothing had ever happened?
Why does that happen? How did I brought that upon me? and if I didn't ( cuz I can't think of a valid reason) why does it happen?
men have it so easy.

addendum + Question of the day

problems are cowards...

I just heard that my gran has a 8 cm/3.1 inch gallstone floating about in her body that once operated will be given to university for its remarkable size, so students can see a really big stone.
also the operation will be with audience of a whole class because of its special circumstances...
does any of the doctors care about how the patient feels?

I'm outnumb3r3d

oh my god. please kill the guy who found that statistics is worth of being discovered. and then go on killing all the people maintaining the art of how to count. for fucks sake whoever made a start with all these numbers saying something about how students think the EU is great or not - I really don't know what I wanna do with the person.
my brain is going down the drain. I feel my mind stuttering and not even the music is helping a lot.
great. thanks again.

sorry for cursing, tho.

(!)

I made it to work! Usually, this is not something that entails a hint of enthusiasm, but today it's an achievement. I passed the ordeal of walking (!) to the subway, changing to the tram and the bus and then walking (!) again from the bus to where I work. I managed to walk (!) up the 5 flights of stairs and never fell.
I have sore muscles, a muscle ache to kill. I can't really walk without looking like a stork learning to walk and I certainly can't sit down or get up without flinching. I'm not talking about stairs. Up is halfway ok, down is downright impossible. Maybe I'll have to stay at work :( until it's better.

I will not walk (!) a footlength more than I really really have to. Let's see how that works.
